Starcodes horoscopes for March 23 - 29, 2018
by Heather Roan Robbins
Welcome spring! The Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Uranus now in fresh and volatile Aries add fuel to all we do. But today Mercury turns retrograde for the next three weeks and throws in a monkey wrench of complications. Retrograde planets ask us to stop before we build momentum and check to see if we’ve forgotten our toothbrush. Review, repair, complete, respond, adjust our aim, tune our gears, then take off.
The Aries ingenuity and independence can help when our car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. But possibly checking the gas gauge before we run off into the desert would be a good thing to do. In three weeks Mercury turns direct, and we start rolling so look for the side agendas unfinished business. Go back and visit old friends and review old material that might be relevant to the future projects. And get ready to roll in a few weeks.
But it will help to follow basic Mercury retrograde guidelines; confirm appointments, check the cell phone battery, get clear directions, watch where we put the coffee, make alternate plans to meet up if the first one fails. Measure three times and cut once. With this line-up in fiery Aries, we also need to be careful around volatile materials and people. The more exciting life gets, the more we need to pay attention.
Old information surfaces that will add fire to ongoing investigations, but that new information needs to be sorted and verified. It may contain a kernel of truth but be interpreted totally out of proportion. Investigate the past, research, and watch additional information dished out on our political situation. Consider not investigating your beloveds until the dust clears. But keep all lines of communication open and don’t jump to conclusions.
Over the weekend, and just in time for the “March for our lives”, the Moon in nurturing, protective, grizzly-bear-like Cancer forms three sides of a square with the Aries line up on one side, and Saturn and Mars conjunct in determined Capricorn on the other. The NRA also has Mars and Saturn conjunct in Capricorn, a combination can bring competence and responsibility on a good day, or it can double up on toxic masculinity. Integrity makes the key difference.
After a politically interesting weekend when generational issues and conflicting needs can butt heads, our social enthusiasm picks up on Monday as the Moon enters expressive Leo. On Wednesday a prickly Virgo Moon sharpens our quills. We could easily have an argument and choose to cut someone out of our life when it’s all a misunderstanding. So don’t. If a conflict arises, go to neutral corners and see how else the heart can connect.
If we should fall madly in love as Uranus conjuncts Venus mid-week, let’s enjoy the moment but take a good look at the person with fresh eyes in a few weeks. We can make sudden emotional or aesthetic decisions that may need fine-tuning later. Enjoy spring. We are going to be busy later on, our real forward motion picks up after April 15 as Mercury turns direct.
Friday, March 23, 2018: Let’s take our time; the Aries line up prods us forwards, but Mercury is stationary, turning retrograd, so the faster we move, the more we’ll wander in circles. Longing, powerful awareness of loss, fleeting exhaustion, or artist frustration can motivate us as Venus squares Pluto under a talkative Gemini moon. Keep the heart open, come to understanding one another through the painting of words, listen and ask questions, but don’t jump to conclusion or be forced into a decision before it is ripe. Slow and thoughtful does it.

Saturday, March 24: Protective fierceness. Domestic industriousness. We can careen backwards into real anger about something that happened in the past or get into a snit based on a misunderstanding. Better we bear witness to the important things and, in our personal life, make gentle review and take care of our business as the Moon enters domestic but self-protective Cancer and opposes Mars.
Moon enters Cancer at 2:52 AM, the Moon squares the Sun 9:35 AM, the Moon opposes Mars 9:36 AM, the Sun squares Mars 10:07 AM, the Moon opposes Saturn 5:37 PM.
Sunday, March 25: Emotional overflow; our hearts have torque and can pull us off center as Venus quincunx Jupiter and the Moon opposes Pluto. It further to express our emotions through our creative processor some non-verbal form of service. Drastic statements long to be made midday—avoid ultimatums but be honest where a limit has been reached. Even a few hours make a difference, as we feel more options tonight as the Moon trines Jupiter.

Cooperation and focus improves from mid-afternoon on.

Tuesday, March 27: We are not patient; track details carefully and focus on camaraderie, allegiance, and personality. Everyone needs to speak their opinion; our inner adolescence is showing, and people are managed with attention. Tonight tempts us to speak in hyperbole—but there is a truth to be found under the exaggerations.
Moon trine Mercury 8:09 AM, Moon square Jupiter 8:04 PM.
Wednesday, March 28: it further to manage our moods on this complicated, prickly Moon in Virgo as Venus conjuncts Uranus. Anxiety or unease can inspire a wave of efficiency, or just add to the prickles. An emotional urgency can suggest we walk away from something or someone important- but now is not the time. Take a break, redirect, experiment with a fresh approach, and find the love underneath. Experiment with art and aesthetics. Keep eyes open for an unusual but important meeting.

Thursday, March 29: Let’s get serious as the Sun squares Saturn. Notice wrestling for chain of command or whose authority covers what—when in doubt, hold still and duck neither right nor left until you can assess the situation and play it for the long haul. The energy can feel Uncomfortable but be productive if we can turn discomfort into motivation.
Sun squares Saturn 8:16 AM, Moon opposed Neptune 9:48 AM, Moon trine Pluto 8:35 PM, Moon sextile Jupiter 10:58 PM.
