Review by Christine Gertz
Vikas Malkani, the founder of SoulCentre and the author of the Little Manual of Happiness and the Yoga of Love, has written an advice book for people who would like to attain monetary wealth without sacrificing spiritual happiness. His book, The Little Manual of Success, presents nine tenets that urge readers to take responsibility, use visualization, embrace non-conformity and follow their passions. The book offers coaching for enlightened business people.
The advice is not new or fresh and readers will recognize the tenets from many other books that combine mundane wealth with spiritual fulfillment. The author has a simple, direct way of presenting his tenets and asks the reader to reflect on her own actions and how she programs her mind and spirit to attain wealth. The book does lack references or interviews with self-made millionaires, referring obliquely to major figures like Donald Trump, which is a weakness of the book. The Little Manual of Success will be a welcome addition to readers who have used and enjoyed books like the Hicks’ Money and the Law of Attraction or works by Joe Vitale. There may not be anything new for these readers, however they may enjoy Malkani’s similar style and the simple principles his book reinforces.
The Little Manual of Success is for readers who want some coaching and clarity about how to attain wealth without sacrificing spirit and it will appeal to business people who enjoy parables and gentle spiritual coaching.
