This week comes like a puddle and goes out with a roar. Today a New Moon in Pisces leaves us as squishy and amorphous as pool of melted snow, our feeling seeping into the ground of our being. It‘s time to dream, recover, and let our soul catch up, because we have an exciting spring coming up, and work to do to help our world change, and change in good ways. By the end of the week the transformative momentum builds back up as thoughtful Mercury conjuncts radical Uranus and enters kick-starting Aries.
As the weekend begins, the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars and Uranus are now all in dreamy, vulnerable and intuitive Pisces. All week it may have been hard to stay on point; instead of being focused and linear, we need to stop and talk, process how we feel and what we hope, review the past data and recover from some form of psychic jet lag, because it’s been a busy year so far. Sometime we may just want to curl up with a good book and disappear, or curl up in a ball and emote. We may have felt mushy-headed or unmotivated or felt our immune systems wavering, all signals that we need a little down time.
This week has more to do with the past, completing, recovering, righting old wrongs, much as we feel the momentum building towards the future. As Uranus finishes its last week in Pisces a story that began in 2003 now wraps up. Throughout this week and next we need to be extra honest in our relationships, tactful, kind, but transparently honest and self-responsible in order to help our relationships renew and be relevant to this next cycle as Venus pulls away from a conjunction with Pallas, the asteroid of intellectual integrity, moves through Aquarius and into a trine with Saturn.
Today we need to validate feelings first and foremost, neither judge them nor be swayed by them to erratic action, but listen to the feelings, honor them, and let them go, both from ourselves and from the hearts of others. This is not an excuse to wallow in self-pity, we don’t have to go these dramatic extremes if we just honor the feeling as they arise. If we feel overloaded- it helps to take a moment out to empathize with the wild natural landscape or a great piece of art, or with the spiritual path of our understanding.
This Pisces line-up leaves us feeling thin-skinned, it increases our sense of empathy; while this opens up the channels of compassion for some, it can make others bitterly resist any guilt trips, and make them appear defensively mean. We can feel this working in recent political dialogue, from a recent ad campaign that asked “What Would Jesus Cut” about the budget, to the demonstrations and counter-demonstrations to support political movements in other states and countries.
On Sunday we want look ahead as the Moon enters Aries and joins Jupiter, but may still have clean-up from the past to do. Midweek our intuition may speak to us, but our emotional responses can distort the content; take notes, check it out, but keep the logical mind in there to weed out the flotsam from the important hunches. Mercury enters Aries on Wednesday leaves us feeling hot-headed and ready to shoot from the hip, and we need to proceed with clear information and a level head.
Uranus enters Aries on March 11 and begins a new 84 year cycle. The tectonic plates of the culture and earth’s crust are shifting and changing. What we need this week has more to do with the past, completing, recovering, righting old wrongs or learning from our mistakes, much as we feel the momentum building towards the future. As Uranus finishes this last week in Pisces we can feel a story that began in 2003 now wrap up, ready to end one chapter and begin a new one; if we can’t relate with a fresh prospective, we may find we change more than the chapter, we change to a whole new landscape.
Friday, March 4: We’re soft and squishy, paddling about in our dreams today, but may not want to show it. It is good to have meetings about future visions, but don’t expect high efficiency out of the day. Listen to the murmurs of longing, discontent, or curiosity this morning. Comfort where needed, then form a dream, a seed of action as the Pisces Moon conjuncts Mars and the Sun. Feelings flow. Watch the escapist tendencies, but make it safe to dream tonight.
Saturday, March 5: We feel everything, feel sharp edges acutely and appreciate tenderness, and are allergic to any manipulation by guilt. It can help to drop into an imaginary world and explore possibilities, so really take the day off if possible, dream the day way under as the Moon conjuncts Mercury and Uranus in Pisces. Action comes later, keep expectations low today and know the best work will come as we wander and putter.
Sunday, March 6: We don’t want to do what we’re told to do this morning; we really need to run on our own timetable as the Moon enters Aries. If we have no clear path, it helps to clear the decks, and turn restlessness into preparation. But let’s tend to own work and not give orders. Some crisis can kick us into gear; if there is none, we’re tempted to create one, as urgency is easier to deal with than ambiguity.
Monday, March 7: Follow up all hunches but run quick fact check along the way. Our reflexes may be good but it can be hard to motivate without a creative idea or an irritant. Tough spell mid-afternoon, doubts and difficulties need to be dealt with as the Moon squares Pluto. Address the fear underneath the resistance. Don’t waste time in a huff; see what else can be done tonight.
Tuesday, March 8: Don’t push the river, because kind, cozy, and consistent win today. Security fears kick in and influence decisions midday as the Moon enters Taurus and we may need reassurance. We need affection and understanding to work well together. We’ll be patient if we think others are actually trying, but need to feel supported. Connect, collect, reassure, organize and cuddle. Plant seeds of all types to grow this fertile day.
Wednesday, March 9: Fortunes reverse, the vernal urgency kicks in and turns our minds ahead as Mercury conjuncts Uranus then enters Aries. Think fast, communication speeds up but let’s watch the impact of our words. Look for sparks, fires, electrical conditions, sudden changes of mind. Create a difference. We may feel pressed for a decision but need to slow it down to make it wise, not just fast. Our health may shake loose, store up reserves and nourish.
Thursday, March 10: An inspiring Venus –Jupiter sextile warms the heart and demands a creative solution; force will only provoke resistance. Inflated ideas are sometimes necessary to get us off the ground and think bigger, but bring it back down to the practical next step forward. Tonight, dreams may reflect more anxiety than inspiration but still need care; watch confusion or miss-management as the Moon squares Neptune.
