Friday starts off with a squishy mood under a sensitive Pisces Moon, but then kicks into a more exploratory, interesting if reactive, weekend as the Moon enters self-starting Aries on Friday evening. We need to rest up, drink water and not overheat as Mercury forms a challenging aspect to Neptune, leaving us fuzzy minded or easily sidetracked Friday morning.
Throughout the next few weeks let’s try to be extra kind to one another. The Sun is close enough to Mars leave everybody a bit bristly around the edges, crab claws come out easily if our tender undersides feel poked her, or our values with which we identify feel challenged. But this line-up also loans us bravery, gumption, and the energy to do what needs to be done (even if we feel tired) as well as the impulse to take unnecessary risks. It raises the testosterone vibe, for better or worse. This week both Sun and Mars are, paradoxically, active- but in inward-seeking Cancer, bringing out our defensive edge but also inspiring home-improvement projects and progress on our more intricate family work.
This more introverted energy is enlivened by Mercury, now in Leo, which encourages us to reach out to strangers or old friends and tell stories late into the night. If we are a politician, we may try to pass those stories off as truth, and do so with bombastic humor. It brings a warm-hearted, but vaguely oblivious streak, if we get what is going on with another person, our response can be generous, but it can be harder to automatically empathize.
On Monday, Taurus brings us back to our body but on some difficult aspects can stir the pot as Mars squares Uranus, and we can get really difficult about other people’s mistakes. Sparks fly, whether of human chemistry or in grass wildfires, so watch where they land. It furthers take on a productive challenge and get physically tired.
Romance needs extra attention this week though. Over the weekend we could bump up against one another with minor clashes of needs and opinions as Venus semi-squares Mars. We may want to be romantic but our timing can be a little off, or our energy distracted by an influx of people and experience. Relationships can feel scattered, as if we’ve got too many considerations in the crossfire to stay really connected, unless we consciously hold hands and glance at each other across the crowded room to share a private joke. Early in the week misunderstandings can easily interfere as Venus squares Neptune and Mars squares Uranus, but we can feel each other underneath the words. So, notice the chemistry and express through helpful romantic actions rather than try to talk it out.
A chance for emotional healing and more natural connectedness arises later in the week as Venus trines expansive and friendly Jupiter while Mercury trines serious Saturn. Just be aware that no one wants to be ignored. Just trust the love, expresses as much as possible and let your beloveds feel seen.
Friday, July 14: Cuddle and keep expectations low this morning, our brains just won’t want to work at peak efficiency while Mercury quincunx Neptune. Honor the need to rest. Also honor a need to get serious in response to some fleeting insecurity this afternoon as the Sun quincunx Saturn. The mood lightens as Mercury sextiles Jupiter towards happy hour, and the energy picks up as the Sun goes down and the Moon enters feisty Aries.
Mercury quincunx Neptune 12:19 AM, Moon trine Sun 3:26 AM, Moon square Saturn 4:08 AM, Moon trine Mars 11 AM, Sun quincunx Saturn 12:29 PM, Mercury sextile Jupiter 2:45 PM, Moon conjunct Chiron 3:39 PM Moon enters Aries 5:52 PM.
Saturday, July 15: It feels like a lot going on this morning, or at least that’s what we’d like. The desire for excitement and engagement, but that can leave us a little out of sync with one another as Mars squares semi-squares Venus, relationships can be taxed by tangential needs and differing rhythms unless we give each other a lot of room and last and share our unique perspectives. Look for diversity of experience dive into something fresh and new, stretch the soul. Notice a chance to connect with stranger or strange idea this afternoon and engage in commune late into the night as Mercury trine’s Venus.
Venus semi-square Mars 11:49 AM, Moon sextile Venus 3:40 PM, Moon opposed Jupiter 9:03 PM.
Sunday, July 16: Now for something completely different, or so we may hope as Venus semi-squares Uranus. Some haunting news or mood brings a more serious note midafternoon as Mercury quincunx Pluto, and may require a moment alone or a need to reach out, so check in on people who tend to isolate. After an afternoon of adjustments and edgy new experiences, the Moon enters more settled Taurus tonight and the need for comfort reasserts.
Mercury trine Venus 12:30 AM, Moon square Pluto 2:05 AM, Moon trine Saturn 9:50 AM, Moon square Sun 1:25 PM, Mercury quincunx Pluto 1:50 PM, Moon square Mars 7:11 PM, Venus semi-square Uranus 7:37 PM, Moon conjunct Uranus 8:18 PM, Moon enters Taurus 11:04 PM.
Monday, July 17: It furthers to be around water, to keep expectations low and dreamy, to ply our creative process in dreams together as Venus squares Neptune under the cuddly Taurus Moon in the morning. But later, when we’re good were very good, but when we get irascible, watch out as a difficult Mars-Uranus square amp up friction and brings technical complications that require engineering ingenuity. Keep the duct tape handy. Watch where the sparks fly, literally, notice fire hazards where it is dry and swamping where it’s wet.
Venus square Neptune 8:33 AM, Mars square Uranus 7:36 PM, Moon sextile Neptune 10:55 PM.
Tuesday, July 18: A day for emotional depth that produces healing as the Moon the Taurus Moon trines Pluto and lets us share from an unusually deeper level in a more even-keeled and concrete way while Venus trines Jupiter open our hearts. It also encourages us to spend money on artistic beauty, so watch the impulse buys. Take some breaks and laugh along the way, but use any opportunity to open the aperture of understanding.
Moon trine Pluto 5:30 AM, Mars trine Chiron 7:22 AM, Moon square Mercury 10 AM, Venus trine Jupiter 2:08 PM Moon sextile Sun 7:55 PM.
Wednesday, July 19: Conversation continues as the Moon enters talkative Gemini while Mercury forms a grounded and sane trying to Saturn. We’ll talk more about logistics and less about our feelings today, but can write and communicate with unusual ease- once we get going. We just need to remember our goals and clarify our point.
Moon enters Gemini 1:31 AM, Mercury trine Saturn 1:15 PM.
Thursday, July 20: Keep talking; good communication helps with a nervy static as the Sun squares electrical Uranus under a talkative Gemini Moon. We may be confronted with information which challenge our status quo or find that supposed facts have been misapplied to justify an opinion. To keep honest with ourselves, we can keep lines of communication open and consciously make an effort to understand where the other is coming from. Be careful of tender hearts this evening as Venus quincunx Pluto, eschew any emotional power trips, and put compassion first.
Moon square Neptune 12:18 AM, Moon trine Jupiter 2:54 AM, Moon conjunct Venus 5:38 AM, Mars enters Leo 6:19 AM, Moon opposed Saturn 1:32 PM, Moon sextile Mercury 4:03 PM, Venus quincunx Pluto 6:19 PM, Sun square Uranus 6:25 PM, Moon sextile Uranus 11:40 PM.

Make good use of discontent this weekend and find something industrious to do. The Moon waxes full in competent Capricorn while the Sun opposes serious Pluto and we become newly aware what needs to be done, whether we’re looking at world politics or a brush pile in the backyard. We can get grumpy or overwhelmed if we look too far ahead, or pushy and manipulative if we’re not considerate, but we can also certainly put one foot in front of the other and make some progress, to our great satisfaction.
The last few weeks have had a driving quality to them as Mars opposed Pluto last week, and as the Sun opposes Pluto and conjuncts Mars this week. This driving energy brings momentum to whatever we start, whether a gardening project or rattling of sabers with North Korea, and this impetus can make it hard to enjoy more than a few moments resting in the Sun unless we feel we’ve accomplished our goal. This driving quality stirs any inner demons that whisper we are not enough or have not done enough, and we can respond by getting depressed, becoming inspired to improve or accomplish, finding gumption, or tapping into a new ruthless determination. Our response is up to us.
Any full Moon highlights opposing needs, and this full Moon highlights the difference between the Sun in Cancer’s encouragement to nest and rest, and Capricorn’s determination which longs for accomplishable goals in order to feel content. A Full Moon in Capricorn wants places to go and things to do, mountains to climb so that it imbues happiness. Like solve global issues at the G20 conference. But one person’s, or country’s, ambitions may interfere with another’s and both leave frustrated unless we can find common goals. Remember this in household projects or political efforts, find a mountain top you can agree upon, and each person find their own way there.
But all is not work, Mercury in Leo for the next few weeks may bring out the bombast in the politicians, but also loans us an outgoing quality which encourages us to tell stories and make new acquaintances, to take a sybaritic break and sip cool fruit in the shade. This week that borrowed extroversion is supported by a lovely trine from Venus in sociable, communicative Gemini, which introduces a fresh sense of humor when we are not working on those inner demons.
Mars in Cancer keeps us somewhat defensive and self-protective though, so even as we’re chatting away let’s go gently around anything that can sound critical, or not be surprised if we get a defensive response. On the big political screen, we’ll notice that strategic defensiveness and territorial posturing are the major motivating drives.
Early next week the Moon in communal Aquarius helps us work whatever groups we engage, whether it’s summer campers or neighbors on the block. A sensitive Pisces Moon asked us to take a rest towards the second-half of the week and give ourselves more time to tend our spirit and rest our body, catch up with ourselves both emotionally and physically.
Friday, July 7: Take a walk this morning, or meander in the mind as the Sagittarius Moon trines Uranus. Conversation and casual interactions are easy as Mercury sextiles Venus, a great time I make arrangements, negotiate, connect. Then a notice of fresh seriousness as the Moon enters Capricorn midday, bring more industrious, but also leaving us more easily depressed or discouraged unless we feel like we’re making progress. Notice self-doubts, honor them, but only to let them encourage one another. Tonight, people want someone to care what we’ve been doing; ask the right questions and listen.
Mercury sextile Venus 7:18 AM, Moon trine Uranus 8:11 AM, Moon enters Capricorn 11:44 AM.\
Saturday, July 8: Morning is softer, but still we feel an existential nagging to get to work. This afternoon that Moon squares Jupiter and helps negotiate for aesthetics, whether we’re bargaining for antique or navigating where to put the furniture. Tonight’sFull Moon is deeply strategic and asks us to engage our priorities; whatever we do, we won’t want to do it halfheartedly.
Moon sextile Neptune 4:04 PM, Moon square Jupiter 4:44 PM, Moon opposed Sun 10:06 PM.\
Sunday, July 9: Aches and pains can leave us grumpy this morning as Mars challenges Saturn. Strong, apparently arbitrary opinions may cause clashes but could be part of our inner creative process; how can we hold our vision and yet give room for another to hold theirs. Ghosts and grim thoughts can haunt, or just leave us wondering if we have what it takes, as the Sun opposes Pluto tonight, but we can choose to use these concerns to reconnect with our hearts.
Moon conjunct Pluto 10:05 AM, Mars semi-sextiles Saturn 4:08 AM, Moon opposed Mars 9:40 AM, Moon square Uranus 8:12 PM, Sun opposed Pluto 10:35 PM, Moon enters Aquarius 11:34 PM.
Monday, July 10: Jump back in the fray as the Moon enters collective Aquarius, step out of a private life and reengage the community this morning as the Moon trines Venus. Work through logistical difficulties midafternoon and pardon social gaffstonight as the Moon opposes Mercury. Judge people by their intentions, not by the grace, or lack of it, by which they pursue them.
Moon trine Venus 12:02 PM, Moon semi-square Saturn 2:46 PM, Moon opposed Mercury 4:37 PM.
Tuesday, July 11: Take advantage of a sociable openness to further any project that requires cooperation as the Moon trines Jupiter and sextiles Saturn. Some will get caught up in their ideas and miss their emotional effect on others, so don’t count on tender consideration, but do look for open minds.
Moon trine Jupiter 4:19 AM, Moon sextile Saturn 7:46 PM.
Wednesday, July 12: Slow down, the Moon enters Pisces and we feel everything; like walking barefoot across pebbles, maybe nothing hurts, but it takes more time to do it right. Tears come easily and a story can tug our heartstrings this afternoon as the Moon challenges Pluto. Sympathize, but stay self-responsible, and watch out for those people who hold others responsible for their feelings.
Moon sextile Uranus 6:40 AM, Moon enters Pisces 9:51 AM, Moon semi-square Pluto 3:41 PM
Thursday, July 13: It’s not that we don’t care about other people’s feelings this morning, we can care too much, which can leave us wanting extra insulation or distance as the Pisces Moon conjuncts Neptune. Make it safe to be sensitive. Avoid anything that smacks of guilt tripping and stay self- responsible and empowered. It furthers to pursue art, a walk in the woods, a moment of unspoken communion.
Moon square Venus 3:27 AM, Moon conjunct Neptune 12:26 PM, Moon sextile Pluto 7:50 PM.

Warm and friendly evenings call up nostalgic memories and encourage us to take care of one another. We can reconnect with family or connect to memories of summers past as we watch fireflies twinkling in the balmy evenings. But in this process, old Cancerian family and nationalistic patterns can get triggered, old wounds can feel newly raw with the Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Mars, line up in domestic, protective Cancer this week, all underlined as Mars squares Jupiter, trines Neptune, conjuncts Mercury and approaches an opposition to Pluto.
This conga dance with Mars give us extra energy to do what needs to be done but can also instigate a defensive, aggressive edge wherever we feel our ordinary rights to live a safe, healthy life are endangered. Cancer urges us to appreciate and protect family, and by family we mean the larger family of humankind, home, homeland, and home planet. We desire a more ideal interaction and get potentially cynical with what we have instead, and can play this pattern out in our personal family dynamics as well around old wounds between races and countries. But every time the patterns from the past raise their head, we have a chance to shift it and change the story. Cool the temper and use this wisely, we have work to do. Don’t just get mad, make a difference; help change the paradigm.
During this domestic Cancerian time, let’s work with the image of home renovation; go back to a building we know and love and figure out what needs to be improved from the foundations up, and get to it under these energizing Mars aspects. We can improve and repair, update and beautify our home and relationships. Or we can just respond defensively and blow it up all over again. Let’s see if we can avoid dueling defenses, which can be a real problem under this Cancer line-up, where one person’s defenses set off another person’s edginess when both really just need reassurance and support. Don’t reinforce bad behavior with attention, but do address the real needs underneath in order to calm the wildfires.
The weekend begins under a sensitive, potentially emotional new Moon in Cancer which brings a chance to release old family cycles and begin anew. But we can feel anxious if we’re not sure what to release or how to start over. It can help to work together to further a goal. Our heart tenderizes as Venus trines Pluto on Sunday, though we may potentially feel lonely in a crowd or have trouble saying goodbye.
But if we’re not sure exactly what we’re ready to release or start, these aspects can bring up a sense of anxiety. It helps to work together to overcome an obstacle or further a goal rather than take this feisty competitive, pushy energy out on one another. Venus trines Pluto over the weekend and can help us value what’s close to our heart, because our heart is tender, potentially sore, lonely and proud. On Sunday, a Jupiter-Mars square sharpens that competitive edge, we may feel more brittle and guarded, more easily angered unless we give our restless Mars something constructive to do, like march in a pride parade or dance the night away.
Early in the week Mercury and Mars trine Neptune and spice up our intuition, encourage us to take a break from our challenges and indulge in summer, but also increase our ability to empathize. We get an opportunity to let go of some old patterns and shift into a more mutually respectful and caring version. Midweek we’ll need to make decisions based on that compassionate sensation. A Virgo Moon can sharpen our edges again but help us nail down the details of work that needs to be done. It furthers to have a garden to weed or an article to edit, rather than waste this energy worrying.
We may get depressed and have to watch out for a sense of hopelessness or overwhelm towards the end of the week as thoughtful Mercury opposes Pluto. Transportation can be problematic, and problems need to be fixed. We may need to discuss how cars, a Mercurial form, have recently been used as a weapon. Hang in there. Use experiences which could be discouraging to remember what is truly important and stay on track. Feel a shift coming in.
Friday, June 23 Memories feel so close to the surface, but we choose whether we remember the only the old problems, or review the past to make healthy decisions about the future as the Gemini Moon opposes serious Saturn, and both square Chiron. Multi-tasking competence abounds, as long as we have lists, as memory can be faulty. Comfort, good food, extra appreciation furthers around dinner time as the Moon enters deep-feeling Cancer, and conjuncts the Sun at 8:30 PM MDT. Because were feeling prickly, extra appreciation and kindness furthers.
Moon opposed Saturn 6:30 AM, Moon enters Cancer 4:03 PM, Moon conjunct Sun 8:30 PM.
Saturday, June 24: Start a new cycle; relocate, propagate the garden, or work for social justice as the fecund Cancer New Moon conjuncts Mercury and Mars. Tonight, it’s easy to feel left out or
long for something more than we have, and this can make it hard feel the joy in the moment as the Moon opposes Pluto. It will help to bond over the depths rather than hold each other responsible for this ache. Kindness furthers, let people of the hook and choose forgiveness.
Moon conjunct Mercury to 12 AM, Venus trine Pluto 2:59 AM, Moon conjunct Mars 1:09 PM, Moon square Jupiter 1:35 PM, Moon trine Neptune 2:41 PM, Moon opposed Pluto 9:29 PM.
Sunday, June 25: A competitive, territorial streak makes for a great sports game, nasty sibling rivalry or international friction. The Moon enters more sociable Leo to night which can either fuel the fire or give us a chance to chance to shift gears and socialize. Connect from the heart. Let the summer’s evening help us step out of the tension and into possibility.
Mars square Jupiter 2:07 AM, Moon square Uranus 12:44 PM, Moon enter Leo 4:06 PM.
Monday, June 26: Even though our work weeks begun, we may need to take a break under this Leo Moon and as Mars trines escapist, imaginative Neptune. This aspect can help us let go of old anger, but also leave us disorganized or unsure of what we want. Create healing moments rather than try to push through.
Mars trine Neptune 12:18 AM.
Tuesday, June 27: An interesting opportunity arises if we keep lines of communication open even if were feeling a little tactless. People are more willing to tell stories than to really talk about what’s going on and process their tender guts, but we can hear the information we need in those stories as Mercury in Cancer squares Jupiter and trines Neptune. Make the most of a potential for good changes early in the day. Tonight the Moon heads into Virgo, helps us get back on task, but a tendency to worry can make us cranky.
Moon square Venus 4:29 AM, Moon trine Saturn 7:38 AM, Mercury square Jupiter 12:20 PM, Moon trine Uranus 3:11 PM, Mercury trine Neptune 6:22 PM, Moon enters Virgo 40 1 PM
Wednesday, June 28: Is it good, is it healing? If not, maybe we shouldn’t say it today; Mercury conjuncts Mars and brings a decisive time to let go or let it rip, and then move forward. It’s easy to get sharp-edged or cranky with one another, we can feel like no one’s doing quite enough, but that attitude is probably an illusion, and will not further, so let’s not say the unforgivable. Be safe around modes of transportation and temperamental people. Tend anxieties with gentleness, tend real problems with solid action.Tonight, do not ask much of the psyche, everyone needs a moment off or with spirit to renew as the Moon opposes Neptune.
Mercury conjunct Mars 10:50 PM, Moon opposed Neptune 7:57 PM.
Thursday, June 29: We can get depressed today, feeling inadequate or not enough, worried about the future as the Moon squares serious Saturn, Mercury opposes intense Pluto and brings our attention to look on the dark side. Transportation can be problematic. Our suspicious are either confirmed, or we have to let them go and free that energy. Or it may just be time to say goodbye. We can pour this questioning intensity into our artwork, or we can grow our confidence as we face our worst-case scenario and clear the dross of inessentials. face our worst-case scenario. Honor those moody feelings rather than fight them, just don’t hold on to them and loose proportion. Healing opportunities arise as evening progresses and the Moon opposes Chiron.
Moon trine Pluto 3:31 AM, Moon square Saturn 12:51 PM, Moon trine Venus 2:34 PM, Mercury opposed Pluto 6:35 PM, Moon opposed Chiron 10:54 PM.
