Excerpts from Embodied Grace: A Woman’s Path to Empowerment
By Jennifer Lonnberg, Christian Psychic
Embodied grace is freedom: Freedom from self- criticism; freedom from negative thinking; freedom from anxiety and worry. Embodied grace is embracing your truth; Embracing and loving your life; Embracing self awareness by doing what is right for you and letting go of what others think you should do. Embodied grace is claiming your worth; aligning with your purpose, setting your intentions, and moving in the clarity of knowing what you want.
What if I told you that you could be normal…average…ordinary; with no spectacular “story” AND still be successful? What if I told you that YOU have all you need to be successful already; but you just need to know how to unlock it?
If I asked you right now if you feel like something is missing in your life, how would you answer?
A few years ago, I felt like I wasn’t living my authentic purpose, and I felt guilty that I wanted more. I had a good life! Why would I want more? …But I did. I felt like something was missing and that made me feel terrible. I should have been completely happy! I have a hard-working hubby, awesome kids, the house and dog, cat and a fish! What do I have to complain about? And why did I feel so guilty that I wanted better. Isn’t that supposed to be part of the American dream? To have more money and wealth, to have whatever you want in life? I don’t mean it in a “keeping up with the Jones’” kind of way. I just mean in the hope and the dream of life just getting better and better as you go along.
If you are reading this, then you most likely there is something missing in your life. You are craving to be your authentic self, find empowerment and really live! Right?
Sometimes we get stuck living on auto-pilot and we don’t even know it! So how do we know if we are on auto-pilot?
Well, first of all, what are you doing each day to set intentions and grow?
Are you intentional about your life??What are your short term and long-term goals?
Do you even know what I mean by asking those questions? Because I didn’t…. if you’re like me, then you may not have realized until right this moment that you’re stuck in auto-pilot mode.
What I realized back then was that I had to be the one who decided to change things. I didn’t even realize that I was living life by default and routine. I was living the way I knew how and no one I knew had ever broken out of the mold of my kind of normal.
Here are 3 step to a new level of freedom:
1.) Decided to be intentional.
2.) Reveal your excuses.
3.) Establish what you want.
You can use this formula for ANY goal:
First of all, decide that you want to do something and then be intentional about it. (This step is sometimes overlooked. You have to decide to change before anything will actually change.)
What is it that you want? What is your goal?
(Remember that it is ok to start with what you don’t want, if you can’t start out saying I want….. For example, if you know you don’t want to feel crappy any more, then you can change that into: I want to feel good. My goal is to be healthier.)
What will that feel like when you have reached your goal? What are some details that will help you know that you have it??(For example, I will know I reached my goal when my stomach isn’t bloated, and I have lost ten pounds.)
What are action steps that I can take today towards my goal? (Think of a list of things that you could do to take steps toward your goal. In the example above my action steps were to make an appointment with the naturopath and do research about natural health. Whatever your action steps are, make sure that at least one of those steps you can do today. Once you make one small step the other steps become easier to see and follow!)
